The Cost of Discipleship for Muslims

The expense of apprenticeship for Muslims is very over the top. As one completely occupied with between confidence exchange with Arab Muslims I talk with numerous Muslims about different issues, for example, the historical backdrop of the Islamic religion, Islamic eschatology, Muslim fasting rules, the Islamic perspective on God, similitudes in Islam and Christianity, Jesus in the Quran, and Islam, Muslim names for God, Jesus’ execution and the Bible. I’ve seen men come to confidence in Christ, and a lot more who took in the reality of what jesus’ identity is, yet, who neglected to enter the Kingdom of God.

The distinction in the individuals who accept completely and the individuals who abandon Christ is in their ability to pay the expense of apprenticeship. For most Arab Muslims, the expense of apprenticeship incorporates, yet isn’t restricted to actual damage or passing. Genuine apprenticeship is basic. A follower is one who gains from his educator to impersonate his instructor in word, thought and deed. A devotee is a student at the work-site of a specialist. While conveying the Gospel to Muslims, I’m mindful so as to not gloss over things, however.

Jesus’ call to be His pupil was clear, and perpetually uncovered the expense of teaching for Muslims. Notice:

“What’s more, when he had called the individuals unto him with his supporters additionally, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life will lose it; yet whosoever will lose his life for the good of I and the gospel’s, the equivalent will save it. For what will it benefit a man, on the off chance that he will acquire the entire world, and lose his own spirit?” Mark 8:34-36

In stanza 35 we see that whoever tries to save his life will lose it; however whoever loses his life for the good of He and the gospel’s, will save it. This is very dumbfounding. No Muslim detests his own life. All men try to save their lives and ensure their own advantages. From these sections we see that the expense of teaching is a man’s life.

To be a devotee of Christ, a Muslim should come to Christ, deny himself, bite the dust, and follow Christ. Likewise with all men, this is really a work of the Spirit of God. He permits us to have a little influence in lecturing the Gospel to Muslims, at the end of the day, men are free and God will be God. No man can be compelled to pay the expense of apprenticeship. Perhaps the best summation of the expense of teaching came from the lips of Dietrich Bonheoffer, who stated, “When Christ calls a man He offers him come and bite the dust.

However in this passing, there is Christ’s revival power! My supplication is that an ever increasing number of Muslims would have chance to hear His Gospel, consider the consequence of teaching and decide to follow Him in revolutionary apprenticeship.
